G Mountain Trail
I like to go exploring. Living in Utah in the United States gives me a great chance to pretty much drive any which way for 30 minutes and discover a new trail in the mountains.
That's what I did one fall afternoon. I had nothing better to do and wanted to go on a short hike. I didn't have a destination in mind, so I simply began driving towards the mountains.
That's when I discovered the G Mountain Trail.
It's located in Pleasant Grove, Utah not far from residential areas. It really begins in Kiwanis Park - at the base of the mountain. It's a small park full of playground pieces. It also has several trails that start from the park.
I took the G Mountain Trail, not because I knew where it would take me, but for the exact opposite. I had no idea where I was heading on it.
It's a short hike. I probably didn't spend more than 15-20 minutes getting to the giant "G," but it was fun to walk through so many trees changing colors.
There was no one else on the trail when I went that particular day, and I can't imagine that it's very busy any time of the year.
It turned out to be a great, short hike that seemed to be relatively unknown to the masses. My favorite type of hike.
