Charter Planes
I love charter planes. If I had the money, I would only fly in charter planes. Well, I suppose if I had the money we'd be having an entirely different conversation on this website...
At any rate, charter planes are something that most will probably not experience in life. In fact, I've met people who have never even been on a normal plane. You read that correctly. How that's even possible, I don't know.
Charter planes are indeed a luxury. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some are better than others. The one pictured above was actually not all that comfortable. It was a smaller plane without much headroom. The legroom was acceptable, but I had to crouch to get into my seat.
I have also been in more spacious charter planes with much more legroom and headroom. Those are nice.
Another great perk of charter flights is that the crew is much more lenient when it comes to safety regulations. I know, I know. They're there to keep you safe. But everyone knows how tiring it can be to be forced to put on your seatbelt mid-flight in the middle of some slight turbulence. It doesn't make for a fun experience.
Perhaps the greatest perk of charter flights, however, is the plethora of snacks. They bring around trays of the best snacks money can buy. They have anything and everything you could think of. Candy, food and drinks. And you can take as many as you'd like. No questions asked.
Maybe the one downside of these types of flights is that the planes are sometimes so small that they have to land in some remote town in the middle of nowhere to fuel up. This can take some time. I suppose it's nice to get out and stretch a little bit, but you aren't getting to your destination any faster.
Overall, though, charter flights are a wonderful experience that I wish everyone would be able to try. I know that's not likely going to be the case, but if you have the opportunity - relish it.
