Florence, Italy

Italy is a marvelous country. It's usually one of the first countries in Europe that people want to visit. Why is that? You can go from city to city and find diverse culture and history everywhere.

This is particularly true in Florence, Italy.

I only stayed a day in Florence, but I wish that I had planned a longer visit.

I was traveling from Rome, heading to Pisa. I figured that it would be a good idea to stop by Florence and check out some of the history there.

In the heart of Florence is a magnificent river. You'll see many pictures taken along here - including the one of me above.

It's a charming city with an elegance that's hard-pressed to find in other Italian cities. Classy is the first word that I would use to describe it.

In Florence, you'll be able to see the famous David statue. Of course, you'll have to get your tickets months in advance as there's always a crowd waiting to go in.

There are other famous museums with loads of famous paintings and sculptures, but the David statue is, of course, the most famous of them all.

While my time was short in the city of Florence, I found it most worth my time. I only wish that I had planned more time to go out and explore different parts of the city.
